Catawba Is Ranked among “America’s Top Colleges” by Forbes for Six Years Running
July 6, 2016
Catawba College again makes Forbes “America’s Top Colleges” listing, ranked among the 660 best undergraduate institutions in the nation. This is the sixth consecutive year that Catawba has been included in this listing and the ninth year that Forbes has released its “America’s Top Colleges.”
Forbes released its “America’s Top Colleges” rankings on July 6th, touting it as a rankings list that sets its sights “directly on ROI: What students are getting out of college?” Catawba came in at 602 in the 2016 rankings.
Forbes created its Top Colleges rankings by partnering with the Center for College Affordability and Productivity, a Washington, D.C. think tank. The Forbes math “comes directly from the Department of Education, Payscale, and the America’s Leaders list.” The factors used to calculate the rankings fall into five general categories: post graduate success (32.5%), which evaluates alumni pay and prominence; student debt (25%); student satisfaction (25%); four-year graduation rate (7.5%); and academic success (10%).
