Catawba Student Has Poetry Published

sarasellers.jpgCatawba College senior Sara Sellers has had several recent publications in poetry.

Sellers had three of her poems accepted for publication in Campbell University’s magazine The Lyricist: “You Wrecked Me,” “Sleeping with the Reaper,” and “Sitting in the Bathtub at Motel 6."  Her poem “You Wrecked Me” won second place in the magazine’s statewide contest.

Another poem “Walking Along Highway 52” has been published in Atlantis, a magazine published by the University of North Carolina Wilmington.

Sellers is majoring in both Writing and Literature with a minor in Secondary Education. She is a West Teaching Scholar, she is currently doing her student teaching at South Rowan High School.
