Although the mass gathering limitations in Governor Cooper’s May 20, 2020, Executive Order do not apply to educational institutions, all employees are directed to limit the number of people at gatherings to limit the spread of COVID-19 in accordance with the gathering limitations in that Executive Order. Examples include:
- When in-person meetings are necessary, no more than the number of people defined in Governor Cooper’s May 20, 2020, Executive Order may be present, and physical distancing should be in place.
- Video conferencing and conference calls should be used instead of in-person meetings.
- The College will not approve any event, meeting, or gathering that includes more persons as allowed by Governor Cooper’s May 20, 2020, Executive Order and/or any subsequent order.
Please note the limit on gatherings includes other personnel that may be present in that space.
