How long have you been at Catawba:
I spent most of my childhood on campus with a parent who was, and still is, a faculty member. Catawba has always been like home to me. However, I started officially working at Catawba in October of 2022.
What is your favorite spot on campus?
My favorite spot is a tie between the Chapel and Robertson College-Community Center. My husband and I got married at the chapel as did my parents! I also spent time in the chapel when I was in children’s and youth choirs. I also love the College-Community Center because it hosts the main performance venues. I love seeing Catawba’s theatre productions!
Favorite event at Catawba?
Lessons and Carols - it’s festive and a beautiful event for both college and community. Outside of Christmastime, I also love going to student performances and showcases like ADP.
Fun Fact or Hobby:
My fun fact is that I was an extra in the first Hunger Games movie! My hobbies include antiquing, visiting the beach, and making too many Spotify playlists.
Best Advice for Future Students:
Get to know your professors - they genuinely care about you as a student and as person. I can’t count how many times my family attended events to support students or hosted them for holidays when they couldn’t travel the distance to their hometown.
