In the heart of Salisbury, North Carolina, we’ve cultivated a safe, nurturing environment where students thrive. One where every student is exposed to exceptional opportunities for growth, both in and out of the classroom. This is a place for self-expression, creativity, and unbridled optimism. We make things brighter. Since we opened our doors in 1851, more than 16,000 students have walked across the stage and entered the world as good citizens.

THE HEART OF CATAWBA.

Scholarship. Character. Culture. Service. These values are at the center of every move we make. Catawba's academic experience will bring out your best. Find new passions and leave inspired to make a difference for good in the community and beyond. On campus, you'll learn and connect with one of the most dynamic cultures in the Southeast. And you'll spend valuable time every year learning the power of service. This is how we've created a vast alumni network of good citizens.

FUTURE-PROOFING FOR STUDENTS' FUTURES.

We do our best to live, learn, and create sustainability every day at Catawba. We're one of only 13 colleges around the country to be fully carbon neutral — and we did it seven years before we said we would. We've transformed our campus with geothermal energy along with solar shelters and rooftop panels to lighten our energy load. Daily, we challenge our community to think critically and holistically about what the future holds for all of us. We're doing the research into new solutions, new jobs, and new ways to work together. Because it's not just about our climate footprint; it's about the future for us all. Join us.

WELCOMING, EQUITY, AND BELONGING.

Catawba is an open, safe, and welcoming learning environment for all students, faculty, staff, and others in our extended community. We're committed to social, physical, and economic inclusivity in all our spaces and programs and to breaking down barriers to help graduate more artists, innovators, business leaders, teachers, and medical professionals.
