Dr. Ashley Schoppe began teaching at Catawba College in 2024. Her research specialization is British literature of the long eighteenth century, but she is excited to teach British literature from all periods. She is the Managing Editor of The Burney Journal, a literary journal focusing on Frances Burney d’Arblay, her family, and her contemporaries. Her scholarship focuses on the political meanings of fashion. Her publications have appeared in the Journal for Eighteenth-Century Studies and Women’s Writing.
