Assess and Explore Goals: Assess your skills, interest and values.

- Review resume and cover letter with career services.
- Update Handshake profile and observe of career-related information
- Define your career interests through professor discussions, questions, job shadowing, etc.
- Visit the C2C Success Center and your major department to gather information on internships, volunteer experiences and/or independent research related to your area of interest or chosen career field.
- Document skills that can be improved or learned from internships, employment or other experiences.
- Register for MOCK FRIDAY; Practice your interviewing skills
- Become active in student organizations to develop leadership and teamwork skills.

- Compose Thank You Letters for those who grant you an interview.
- Investigate internships for your junior year
- Develop skills through student organizations, part-time jobs and volunteer opportunities
- What Can I Do with a Major In? Explore the connection between majors and career paths using the links on the C2C Internships and Career Planning website
- Research careers using online resources such as the Occupational Outlook Handbook and O*Net online
- Introduce yourself to faculty in departments to learn more about careers related to particular majors
- Join an organization or club related to your career interests
- Engage in informational interviews and/or job shadows to begin learning more about various career options and to begin growing your network of professionals
- Attend local area Career Fairs and career related events on campus
- Speak to upperclassmen about their coursework and experiences
- Consider taking part in a Lilly Center Vocational retreat designed to help you find your life’s calling.
