Cathy Green has been a member of the Center for the Environment team since 2006, contributing her skills and expertise to support the Center’s mission.

In her role as Director of Operations, Cathy organizes the details of initiatives, conferences and events the Center offers in its mission to educate the greater community and, at the same time, involve students in this important work. She oversees and provides mentorship for the staff and student interns who work together on initiatives like the National Environmental Summit for High School Students and the EnviroSmart Schools. Her focus is on ensuring that the Center’s activities run smoothly for the benefit of all involved.

Born and raised in Salisbury, Cathy holds a degree in psychology from Mary Baldwin College. In her free time, she’s most happy digging in the dirt and learning new skills like the art of stained glass and pottery, but mostly, she enjoys time with her three young granddaughters who fill her life with great joy.
