Cheerleaders

The Catawba Spirit program includes cheerleading, dance, and the sideline mascot (Blue) and is open to all interested students who try out for a spot on the squad. Catawba Spirit includes a talented group of athletes who provide vital support for our varsity teams, are ambassadors for Catawba, and greatly enhance our college events.

Scholarship

Freshman or Transfer students participating in the Catawba Spirit Program are eligible for a scholarship, which varies from $2,000 to $5,000 (over four years of study).

Tryouts

Trying Out for the Squad

All interested new and returning students are invited to try out for a spot on the squad. Tryouts are held for members on our cheer and dance teams as well as for our sideline mascot Blue.
