- April 2: White Oak Progeny Tree Planting @ the NC Piedmont Research Station - Everyone is welcome to help come lend a hand as we will be planting approximately 500 trees! This is a joint progeny research site with the NC Piedmont Research Station, the University of Kentucky, and Catawba College. Although there are other progeny research sites in other states, our site will the be the first in North Carolina! Reach out to Lisa Pope at lrwear@catawba.edu if you have questions.

- April 8: Solar Eclipse Watch Party from 1:45 to 4:30pm at the Shuford Science Building lawn closest to Innes Street.
- April 11: Thoughtful Thursday Yoga in the Fred Stanback Jr. Ecological Preserve @3pm. Meet at Lake Baranski!
- April 11: United Nations Sustainable Development Goals Movie Night - The Lorax showing at 6:30pm in CENV 302
- April 12: Make Your Own Smoothie - Bike Blender Edition - Visit the CENV Staff and Environmental Stewards in Stanback Plaza from 12-3pm as we try out our brand new Bike Blender!
- April 13: TriBeta Biology Honor Society Oscar Clean-up 10am-12pm
Meet at the Oliver's Way fountain (between the CENV and Shuford Science Building) and walk over to Memorial Park with the rest of the volunteers. The "Oscar" is a device that collects floating trash from stormwater systems and collects litter along the pond and greenway nearby. All materials will be provided. Wear warm clothes and shoes that can get wet and dirty. Sign Up Now! - April 15, 16, & 17: Catawba Swap with FBLA - Bring your clean, gently used and unwanted clothes, room decor, and other small goods to the CENV Lobby from 2:30-5:00pm for a swap! Help us reduce the amount of goods going to the landfill and participate in this fun pop-up event. Who knows what treasures you may find! All leftover clothes after April 17th will go to the FBLA Closet.

- April 17: Bird outing with Dr. Joe Poston from 9:00-11:00am in the Fred Stanback Jr. Ecological Preserve - Bring your own binoculars if you have them, but if you don't, feel free to check out a pair with the Center for the Environment staff
- April 20: Catawba Palooza! 1-5pm
- April 20: Happy Roots Earth Day Jam 11am-10pm @ Bell Tower Green
- April 20: LGBTQ+ Society Drag Show at 7pm in Hedrick Little Theatre - All proceeds will be supporting the food pantry on campus - Laura's Place. We will also be accepting monetary donations, food, or toiletry items for the pantry.
- April 21: Catawba Honors Program and Environmental Stewards' Innes Street Sweep - Meet in Oliver's Way at 11:15am. We will make our way down Innes Street to get rid of all the litter leading up to our beautiful campus. Join us to help keep Catawba beautiful!
- April 22: EARTH DAY!!!
- April 22: Staff/Faculty Monday Mile in the Preserve!
- April 23: Study Day!
- April 23: Annual Campus Tree Planting for Arbor Day Observance - Take a break from studying and join us as we grow our campus tree canopy! We will meet behind the CENV to plant three Eastern Redbuds. From there, we will make our way across the street for a few more tree plantings. Don't miss out on this fun opportunity.
