Dougherty joined Catawba in 2007 and teaches Costume Design, Costume Construction, Stage Makeup, and Dramatic Literature. She also manages the costume shop and has worked professionally for several regional companies including Glimmerglass Opera Company and Trollwood Performing Arts School. Her production designs include costumes for Anything Goes (Catawba), RENT (Lee Street Theatre), and Death of a Salesman (Tribhuvan University, Nepal) to name a few. While she considers herself a relative theatre generalist, she has a love for costume crafts and millinery.
