Catawba GO vans

The Catawba College Center for the Environment is pleased to announce the arrival of CatawbaGO, a free EV ride service for Catawba Students, Faculty, and Staff with ID.

Service is provided through a scheduling app for three vans. The Catawba GO service is active throughout all weeks of the fall and spring academic calendar, including weekends. Reduced service will run during spring and fall breaks. The service is not available during the summer or winter breaks.

How To Use On-Demand Rides

  • To call a ride on the app, type in your desired destination in the “Where to?” bubble.
  • Add either your current location or select a location to be picked up from.

  • The app will generate an estimated wait time for your pick up.

  • If you are ready, select “Request Ride”.

  • Once you request a ride, the app will show you the location of your van and continue to update an ETA.

  • You’ll be able to see your location in blue, the van’s route to you in navy, and your destination.

  • When the van arrives, your phone will notify you.

  • After you hop on and show your Catawba ID, the ride will commence.

  • At the end, you’ll be able to rate your driver and leave a note.
