Jesus Gomez serves as the Network Security Administrator and has been with Catawba College since March of 2023.  Jesus is an experienced IT Security professional specializing in safeguarding enterprise networks and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.

At Catawba, Jesus plays a key role in monitoring and maintaining the organization’s network security infrastructure while developing and implementing a comprehensive IT security strategy that aligns with institutional goals and government requirements. Skilled in managing firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and access controls, Jesus also conducts vulnerability assessments and risk analysis to identify and address potential threats. With a strong background in incident response, Jesus works proactively to mitigate risks, protect sensitive information, and ensure that all IT security systems operate effectively within Catawba’s established standards.
