1. Make an account
   • Go to Cricut Design Space and make a free account to save your designs. You can download the software on your computer or use the program on the Surface Studios or iPad Pros in the DLL.
2. Design your work
   • Use free images and fonts to design your work. You can also import your own designs from the internet or something that you have made in Illustrator, Inkscape, or other program.
3. Cut and finish your work
   • After designing your work, click the "Make It" button and follow the on-screen instructions.
     
   • Select your material and mat and feed it into the Cricut
     
   • After the work is complete, use the appropriate tools to finish your work.

Materials for academic/personal projects are free to students, faculty, and staff.

Bringing Your Own Materials
All materials you supply must be verified for safety and compatibility. If you plan to use your own materials for the Laser Engraver and Cricut, they must be safe to use with our equipment. Please talk to a DLL Student Technician if you would like to purchase your own material, and we can provide a list of vendors that have compatible materials.
