Maegen joined Catawba in 2005 and focuses primarily on the design, development and maintenance of the public website.  She also serves the campus community in the creation of electronic and media design (websites, e-mails, electronic branding, mobile apps, etc.), as well as creating and prepping branded social media accounts for department/organization administration. In addition, she handles the creation and ordering of all the College's official stationery.

She holds a B.F.A. in Graphic Design and has worked as a web designer, consultant and print designer since 1995. Prior to Catawba, she worked in design agencies creating websites, multimedia, and emails for clients such as DEWALT, Porter-Cable, TimeWarner, UPS Racing, General Electric, Jeff Gordon Racing and other NASCAR clients.

In her spare time, she enjoys DIY projects, creating handmade items and crafts, and playing escape rooms.

Best Advice for Future Students:
Make the most of every day and opportunity. Set yourself up for the best possible future, and remember that true success and happiness is more than just a paycheck.

Take one day at a time, one thing at a time. Everyone has challenges and tough times that come up in life that can seem unsurmountable and overwhelming. No matter what you're going through, just remember you're not alone. You can and will get through whatever it is, and it will be just a distant memory before you know it - and, you'll be a stronger you.
