Mascot Appearance Request

1. Requests must be submitted at least 2 weeks before the event. (Please note: The further in advance the request is made, the more likely Blue will be available)
2. Incomplete requests cannot be approved
3. All requests are subject to the approval of Catawba College, which reserves the right to refuse for any reason
4. Most appearances will be limited to 1 hour or less. This is for Blue’s well-being and due to a very demanding schedule
5. Blue cannot appear at outdoor events during inclement weather, which includes excessive heat. You will be notified ASAP should the decision be made to cancel Blue’s appearance due to weather
6. Catawba College reserves the right to cancel an appearance without penalty due to illness, personal emergency, schedule conflicts, etc.

Blue will most likely participate in events and activities that advance the Catawba College brand and mission, including the following but not limited to:

• High-profile College events (such as Accepted Student Days, Orientations, Development/Alumni events, CatawbaPalooza, etc.)
• Catawba College home athletic events
• College spirit events including pep rallies and Homecoming

All other requests will be evaluated on a request-by-request basis.

Cat of Distinction: Blue is part of a ceremony at an event (ribbon cutting, appearance on stage)

Blue Time: Pick a location where guests may take their photo and give Blue a hug or high five

Event Mingle: Blue will wander and engage at an event with guests

Social Support: Support on Catawba’s social media channel at the time of the event
