This past December, 14 Catawba College students embarked on a once-in-a-lifetime journey to the remote Himalayan kingdom of Bhutan. Now, the public is invited to hear directly from these students as they reflect on their 10-day academic field experience focused on environmental conservation, Gross National Happiness, and social sustainability.
Learning in the Land of Happiness, the student reflection event, will provide an engaging opportunity to explore Bhutan’s unique cultural and ecological priorities and their intersection with global conversations on sustainability and well-being. Attendees will hear personal stories, academic takeaways, and transformative moments from the students who participated.
