Student director and junior Ila Deese describes Breadcrumbs as “...an exploration of a woman trying to hold onto her memories while her personal identity and the world around her seem to fade away. This show will keep you guessing, like Alida, what is real and which stories should be told and which should be left behind.”
The Blue Masque Catawba College’s oldest student organizations which serves as a club and student led production company. Breadcrumbs Directed by junior Ila Deese is the third Blue Masque production of the 2024-2025 season. All the productions staged by the Blue Masque are directed, performed, and designed completely by students. Providing students hands-on experience in leadership and design roles. The student productions are open to the public the fourth weekend of March, providing an opportunity for the cast and crew to showcase their work.
This show includes two casts! One cast includes juniors Francine Green-Thomas (Portraying Alida) and Hayley White (Portraying Beth), the other cast includes freshmen Katie Sosa (Portraying Alida) and Jess Slapnick (Portraying Beth).
Catawba College’s Blue Masque presents Jennifer Haley’s Breadcrumbs in the Florence Busby Corriher Experimental Theatre from Friday, March 22nd to Sunday, March 24th. All performances will start at 7:30 pm except for Sunday, March 24th, at 2:30 pm. Tickets are priced at $15 for adults 18-55, $10 for adults 55+ and non-Catawba students, and $5 for Catawba students, faculty, and staff.
