Catawba College Presents a Musical Celebration

Catawba College will host a musical celebration on Sunday, March 30th, at 4 pm in celebration of the 60th anniversary of Catawba’s integration. The 75-minute performance will be in the Omwake-Dearborn Chapel and is free and open to the public.

Ensembles and soloists from Catawba’s Music Program will be joined by faculty and students from Livingstone College as well as the Jubilee Community Choir from Salisbury. Together, they will present a concert of traditional spirituals as well as classical and contemporary music.

Teresa Moore-Mitchell, Livingstone College Professor of Voice; Dr. Kody Wallace, Professor of Music at Livingstone College and Director of Choirs; Kay Wright Norman, Director of the Jubilee Community Choir and principal accompanist; and Dr. Phillip Burgess, Dean of the Shuford School of Performing Arts at Catawba College and Director of Choral Activities, have partnered to bring Salisbury an amazing array of music.

The public is invited to attend and enjoy the celebration.
