Catawba College Receives Six National Educational Advertising Awards for Branding and Marketing Excellence

Catawba College has received national recognition with six honors from the 40th Annual Educational Advertising Awards for outstanding work in branding and marketing. These prestigious accolades celebrate the creative and strategic work that continues to elevate Catawba’s visibility and voice across the region and beyond.

Catawba’s campaign earned the following distinctions among more than 2,000 entries submitted by over 1,000 institutions from all 50 states and numerous countries:

•    Gold Award – Digital Video Ad (Less than 2 minutes)
•    Gold Award – Total Advertising Campaign
•    Silver Award – Direct Mail (Junior Postcard Series)
•    Silver Award – Installations (Travel Table Set Up)
•    Bronze Award – Brochure (Travel Piece)
•    Bronze Award – Viewbook

Catawba’s campaign was created in partnership with the award-winning agency, Mindpower, out of Atlanta, GA. Mindpower, a full-service brand agency, was selected via a competitive bid process to assist with research, creative work, and paid media for the campaign.

Catawba’s in-house marketing and communications team includes Anna Chamberlain Mienke, content creator manager/designer; Jodi Bailey, director of marketing and communications; Alex Gerard, videographer/photographer; Julie Hoppes, social media coordinator; Amy Williams, senior editor/writer; and Maegen Worley, director of web services/assistant director of marketing and communications.

The Educational Advertising Awards, coordinated by the Higher Education Marketing Report, is the largest and oldest educational advertising awards competition in the United States. It recognizes excellence in the field of marketing and advertising within higher education. A national panel of industry specialists evaluated each submission based on criteria including creativity, marketing execution, and message impact.
