During her visit, Shandor spent the morning engaging with students in Dr. Rick Blume’s Entrepreneurial Marketing class, where she discussed innovation, leadership, and career development. At noon, she delivered a public lecture, inspiring students with reflections on her career path and the evolving landscape of business leadership.
Following the lecture, a reception was held, providing an opportunity for students, faculty, and guests to connect with Shandor in a more informal setting. The afternoon concluded with a fireside chat hosted by Blume, where Shandor shared additional perspectives on business innovation, personal growth, and the value of mentorship.
“Melissa’s visit provided a valuable opportunity for our students to learn directly from a successful professional who once sat in the same classrooms they do,” said Dr. Imran Chowdhury, Dean of the Ralph W. Ketner School of Business. “Her story is a wonderful example of how a Catawba education can prepare students for meaningful and impactful careers.”
The Ralph W. Ketner School of Business Visiting Executive Program connects students with accomplished business leaders and alumni, offering firsthand insight into leadership, entrepreneurship, and professional success.
