The year's final concert is an annual favorite of the students and audiences alike. Now in its tenth year, “Our Song X” will feature choral works selected by the students.
The concert will include works by Jacob Narverud, Sarah Quartel, Stephen Schwartz, and many more! Also featured will be the highly dramatic choral work Father Thunder by Laura Jekabsone.
A special part of the program will be the “senior salute.” Graduating seniors are invited to sing a solo or present an ensemble piece.
The 63 voices of the Catawba Singers are under the direction of Dr. Phillip E. Burges, Dean of the Shuford School of Performing Arts. Susan Trivette, Catawba’s Collaborative Pianist, will accompany the ensemble.
