Set in post-Obama America, Becky Nurse of Salem follows Becky Nurse, an out-of-work, out-of-love grandmother struggling to make ends meet while raising her troubled teenage granddaughter. Becky also happens to be the great-great-great-great-granddaughter of Rebecca Nurse, who was executed for witchcraft during the Salem trials of 1692. When Becky turns to a modern-day witch for help—and hopes of rekindling an old romance—the results are unexpected, hilarious, and thought-provoking.
The production features the talents of the Catawba and greater Salisbury community.
