Held from 9:45–10:45 a.m. in the Tom Smith Auditorium, the Internship & Culture Presentation provided students with direct exposure to JPMorgan Chase professionals, insights into commercial banking career paths, and guidance on preparing for early-career opportunities. The session was followed by a networking reception and targeted student conversations in the Delhaize Atrium, allowing for personalized engagement with company representatives.
Students from multiple disciplines attended, including Intermediate Accounting, Algorithms & Data Structures, Seminar in Economics, Introduction to Entrepreneurship, Managerial Finance, and Foundations of Data Analytics. The cross-disciplinary participation highlighted the broad relevance of careers within commercial banking and financial services.
During the event, JPMorgan Chase representatives also announced that applications are now open for the 2027 Commercial Banking Summer Analyst Programs. These nine-week, in-person internships are designed for students graduating between December 2027 and June 2028 and may lead to full-time analyst offers in 2028. Catawba students are eligible to apply beginning this academic year.
Application deadlines are June 30, 2026, for Commercial Real Estate (CRE) and August 14, 2026, for Commercial & Specialized Industries (C&SI).
