Catawba College professor of politics and political expert Dr. J. Michael Bitzer was recently featured in a WSOCTV.com article discussing how new legislation might cut back on early voting days and voting locations.

Bitzer said it could be an attempt at saving money. "It certainly could reduce the cost associated with staffing these early voting sites and consolidating them into one would certainly reduce that," he said.

 He said offices might have to hire more staff on Election Day.
