Catawba College alumnus James "J.B." Bridgeforth '99 has successfully defended his dissertation for the Ph.D. in Higher Ed Administration at the University of Southern Mississippi.
Bridgeforth has worked for years in the student housing area of several colleges, currently at the University of Southern Alabama. He firmly cites that it was Catawba that gave him his start and helped prepare him for his graduate work.
His area of research is race/gender factors in faculty success/socialization.
