The Triad Association of Health Underwriters (TAHU) awarded 1974 Catawba College alumnus and Senior Development Associate Randy Southard its inaugural James "Randy" Southard Distinguished Service Award on June 3, 2014.
The award recognizes a member's outstanding contribution to TAHU. Southard was recognized for faithful service as the groupsecretary, a position he is leaving after 10 years of service.
He currently also serves as a volunteer deputy chief at the Stokesdale Fire District, Inc., where he has served as a volunteer for over 46 years, since 1968.
