Catawba College withstood a ninth-inning rally to defeat St. Mary's University (Texas) 5-4 in an elimination game at the 2012 NCAA Division II College World Series on Wednesday night at the USA Baseball National Training Complex.
Catawba, ranked #4 in NCAA II, improves to 45-16 and will face ninth-ranked West Chester in another elimination game on Thursday, May 31 at 7pm.
