Catawba College's Dance Team will sponsor a Charity Showcase Sunday, April 29 between 3 and 5 p.m. and area students who are in third through twelfth grade are invited to participate. The event will be held in Goodman Gymnasium on campus and pre-registration is recommended, but not necessary.
Students will participate in a dance workshop between 3 and 4:30 p.m. and will demonstrate their talents between 4:30 and 5 p.m. in the showcase.
Catawba College Dance Team members include senior Tiffany Cox of O'Fallon, Ill.; junior Betsy Foster of Baltimore, Md.; freshman Zoe Hood of Atlanta, Ga.; freshman Catherine Bloodwell of Lillington; junior Jessica Kitzmiller of Sandy Ridge; junior Sonny Kong of Matthews; freshman Eleanor Withrow of Abingdon, Md.; and senior Jessica Taige of Wauwatosa, Wis.
The cost for participation is $10 per student and to attend the showcase at 4:30 p.m., a donation of $2 per person is recommended. To register, contact Jessica Taige at (704) 637-4262. Proceeds will benefit Godstock (www.godstock.org) which provides financial and spiritual support to chronically ill children and their families.
