Michael Eden, an instructor of physical education and assistant athletic trainer at Catawba College, is the recipient of the N.C. Athletic Trainers Association Educator of the Year Award. Eden received the award March 6th at the annual NCATA Symposium.
Eden joined Catawba in 1999. He is a graduate of Elon College and the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. At the University of Tennessee, he served as a lecturer and a graduate assistant athletic trainer. He also worked in rehabilitation at the Moses H. Cone Health System in Greensboro, N.C., prior to joining the College.
