One of the best ways to learn about Catawba College is to visit the campus during an Open House, which is basically a day of "Getting to Know Catawba." On these special days, prospective students have the opportunity to tour the campus and talk with faculty, students, coaches and admissions counselors.
"While our Open Houses run from 8:30 a.m. until 1 p.m., prospective students and their families get a full exposure to one of the top twenty baccalaureate colleges in the South," says Dr. Michael Bitzer, dean of admissions and an assistant professor of political science and history. "I always encourage high school students to visit college campuses to fully experience the environment and atmosphere where they will be for four years. Students can quickly figure out if they 'fit' with a college if they visit the campus, rather than just surfing on the web or reading brochures."
Catawba will hold an open house for prospective students Saturday, February 2. Register online or call the Admissions Office at (704) 637-4402.
