Catawba College is the site for a Regional Professional Learning Day for teachers and prospective teachers on November 2. The professional development day is sponsored by the North Carolina Association of Educators' Center for Instructional Advocacy and lunch is included in the registration fee.
Some of the topics to be covered include Advocacy in Action; Common Core; Educators and the Law; Educator Evaluation; National Board Support; and Home Base.
The registration deadline is one week before the Nov. 2 event or by October 26. Registration fees are $10 for Student North Carolina Association of Educators or North Carolina Association of Educators members and $40 for non-members.
