Two Catawba College students, Marcia-Mariel Erhart ( Mathematics) of Rodgau, Germany, and Federico Borrego Higareda ( Mathematical Finance) of Mexico City, Mexico, attended the biennial national convention of the mathematics honor society, Kappa Mu Epsilon.
Ms. Erhart delivered a talk entitled “The Additive Property of the Sum-of-Divisors Function” in which she presented research done under the supervision of Dr. John Zerger, a Catawba Professor of Mathematics and Computer Science. Hers was one of four student talks awarded Outstanding Presentation” at the conference.
