The Omwake-Dearborn Chapel on the Catawba College campus will be the scene of a non-denominational Community Thanksgiving Service slated for 6 p.m. Sunday, November 20.  Members of the college community and the community at large are encouraged to attend.  

The service will include anthems by a massed choir, scripture readings, congregational hymns, a testimony from a Hurricane Katrina victim and an opportunity to give an offering for continued Hurricane Katrina Relief efforts.   The choir will be directed by Adam Ward of First United Methodist Church, while Philip Burgess of St. Luke’s Episcopal Church will play the organ for the service.

In addition to the two aforementioned Salisbury churches, other participating churches include First United Church of Christ, St. John’s Lutheran Church, Sacred Heart Catholic Church, First Presbyterian Church, First Baptist Church, Soldier's Memorial A.M.E. Zion Church and Bethel United Methodist Church.
