Dr. Barbara Hetrick, Catawba College Vice President and Academic Dean, attended the Council of Independent College's 33rd Annual National Institute for Chief Academic Officers held November 5-8 in San Antonio, Texas.
Hetrick, along with Susan Whealler Johnston, Vice President of the Association of Governing Board (AGB), made an hour and a half presentation during a session at the meeting entitled, "Working with Board Academic Affairs Committees to Ensure Appropriate Policies."
Hetrick joined Catawba in July, 2003, after spending six years at The College of Wooster in Wooster, Ohio, serving as its Vice President for Academic Affairs and as a Professor of Sociology and Anthropology.
