Catawba College student Lauren Hardison was one of 43 accounting students from 18 different North Carolina colleges and universities who gathered on the campus of UNC-Wilmington in June for the third annual Student Leadership Institute of North Carolina (SLINC).
The two-day program helps develop future leaders in the CPA profession and attracts top accounting students from around the state to connect with peers and grow their network in the accounting world.
Attendees experienced mentoring opportunities with young CPAs, interacted with potential future employers, participated in mock interviews, connected with other top accounting students, enhanced their business and professional etiquette skills, learned tips for taking the CPA exam and more.
