Gamma Sigma Epsilon, Catawba College's chemistry honor society, recently initiated new members. The induction ceremony for the Alpha Delta Chapter took place April 25 on campus.
New members were inducted by the officers, Lori B. Fraley of Cleveland, Grand Alchemist; Jacob A. Hill of Salisbury, Keeper of the Formulas; Blake R. Rushing, Alchemist's Apprentice; and Elizabeth J. White, Keeper of the Solvents. Members include Spencer K. Ashley of Yadkinville; Robert Alan Burgess of Rockwell; Linda F. Castillo-Murillo of China Grove; Rachel L. Cone of Lexington; Juliana V. Conte of Hampton, Ontario; Joshua R. Cummings of Faith; Sarah E. Devlin of Candler; Jeremy R. Dewolf of Salisbury; Ashley G. Freeze of China Grove; Candace L. Hall of Denver; Frank Villa-Hernandez of Kannapolis; Olivia J. Myers of Lexington; Justin M. Smith of Greensboro; Carley M. Tatum of Salisbury; and Amanda G. Williams of Indian Trail. Faculty members of the society include Drs. James M. Beard, Carol Ann Miderski and Mark S. Sabo, professors of chemistry at Catawba.
