Catawba College's School of Evening and Graduate Studies will partner with Central Piedmont Community College to offer an evening degree program that will allow CPCC graduates to earn their bachelor's degree from Catawba College on CPCC's Central Campus.
Beginning August 2012, CPCC graduates who have earned an associate of applied science degree in business or accounting will be eligible to enroll in this new program and earn a bachelor's degree in business administration from Catawba College in just two years. This timeline is made possible by a joint articulation agreement that stipulates CPCC students can transfer up to 60 credit hours of their associate degree coursework into Catawba College's bachelor's degree program.
The program's curriculum is both vigorous and challenging; therefore, it has been divided into one-month blocks, so students may digest and process the information more easily. To accommodate students' busy schedules, each of the program's classes will be offered on Monday and Thursday evenings (8 sessions) per month, and include one Saturday morning class per month as well.
The program has been designed to meet the needs of today's working professional who is seeking to earn his/her bachelor's degree "after hours." In addition to the benefits mentioned above, students also will enjoy the program's affordable tuition rates – financial assistance is available for qualified students – and the personal attention they will receive from Catawba College's quality instructors.
