Faculty and students involved in Catawba College's upcoming production of Dr. Janice Moore Fuller's world premiere experimental work, Machine Play or I'm Not Nadine, will offer a one–hour symposium Thursday, October 19 in which they discuss the collaborative process of creating the production. The symposium is scheduled between 5:30 and 6:30 p.m. Thursday at the Rowan Public Library at 201 W. Fisher Street.
The playwright, director, student designers and student actors will share their experience of developing the play over the course of a spring '06 class and a two- week summer residence at the Polli Talu Arts Center in Estonia (Baltics). A question and answer session will follow the presentation. Refreshments will be served.
A production of Machine Play or I'm Not Nadine by the Catawba College Theatre Arts Department is scheduled October 25-29 in Hedrick Theatre on campus. Performances will be offered at 6:55 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 25; at 7:30 p.m. Thursday through Saturday, Oct. 26-28; and at 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 29 in Hedrick Theatre on campus.
