Families joined their students on campus for Catawba's Family Weekend, Sept. 21-23. Saturday activities coincided with an Admissions Open House at the college and swelled the number of family members on campus with students, either enrolled or prospective.
Those attending Family Weekend activities enjoyed a reception at the President's House, a performance of the Catawba Pride on Stanback Plaza, trolley tours of Salisbury, mingling with the Catawba Faculty, tailgating with the Student Affairs Staff and Faculty, Catawba Football, and a concluding worship service followed by continental breakfast. A Salisbury-produced soft drink, Cheerwine, figured prominently in the weekend, as families sampled Cheerwine floats on Stanback Plaza or enjoyed a bottle of this cold beverage on their trolley ride.
