Robert A. Ingram, Vice Chairman Pharmaceuticals at GlaxoSmithKline, will be the keynote speaker at the inaugural Distinguished CEO Lecture Series on Tuesday, April 1 at 4 p.m. in the Peeler Crystal Lounge, Robertson College Community Center. The series is being sponsored by the Business Advisory Board for the Ralph W. Ketner School of Business.

The event is FREE and open to the public. Reservations may be made by calling (704) 637-4405. Musical entertainment will begin at 3:45 and a reception will follow. Ingram, who will be introduced by Jeff Landreth, '67, has previously served as Chief Executive Officer for Glaxo and later for Glaxo Wellcome. He has also previously served as the Chief Operating Officer and President of Pharmaceutical operations for GlaxoSmithKline. He chairs the CEO Roundtable on Cancer and is also the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the American Cancer Society Foundation and is a member of the National Institutes of Health, National Cancer Advisory Board. He serves on the board of directors for Lowe's Companies, Wachovia, Allergan, and Edwards Lifesciences Corporation. Mr. Ingram is a graduate of Eastern Illinois University with a B. S. degree in business administration.
