Could North Carolina become a prime player in the race for the White House?
One state senator has introduced a bill moving the state's presidential primary up to February to be part of the high stakes "Super Tuesday" primaries.
So what's driving the push for the earlier primary, and what would it mean to voters? That depends on who you ask, but the bottom line for voters is that now the North Carolina primary is in May. By then the race is usually over, or close to the finish line.
However, if it is February, you have a lot more choices and your vote could determine which candidate gets the nomination."
