Six new members were present at the Feb. 22nd semi-annual meeting of the Catawba College Business Advisory Board for the Ralph W. Ketner School of Business.
New members included Daniel Forlano, president of Educating America, Inc. of Salisbury and a 1990 alumnus of Catawba; Dr. Stephen Furr, Centralina Orthopedic & Sports Medicine, of Salisbury; Dr. Charles Muse, executive director, National Robotics Training Center of Excellence, of Florence, S.C.; Richard Smith, retired general manager, Bell South of Salisbury; and two current students of the Ketner School of Business, Chelsea Binder, a sophomore from Woodstock, Md., and Shahin Soltan, a junior from Vetlanda, Sweden. Chairman Joey Popp introduced the new members at the semi-annual meeting of the board.
Dr. Robert Knott, president of Catawba College, and Dr. Jesse McCartney, Catawba's provost, both of whom are retiring at the end of the academic year, were named honorary lifetime members of the Business Advisory Board.
