Join Catawba College for its second iteration of The Outrageous Dance Project at 7:30 p.m. April 20-23 in Keppel Auditorium of the Robertson College-Community Center.
In the final show of Catawba's 2015-2016 Theatre Season, The Outrageous Dance Project offers a repertory dance concert co-directed by Catawba alumni, Richard Steinert '81 and Meredith Fox '07, Assistant Professor of Musical Theatre and Dance.
According to Fox, "This performance has one unifying theme - the art of dance. Each piece is its own work of art with its own theme, mood, character, story, etc. and should be viewed as such. The audience can expect to see a variety of dance styles from classical and contemporary ballet to musical theatre to jazz to ballroom to modern and contemporary dance."
Catawba students in The Outrageous Dance Project include Mea Agazio from Columbia, Md.; Charlie Beth Haddock from Florence, Ala.; Jacob Hammill from Gold Hill; Molly Sue Harmon from Charlotte; Shannon Harris from Reidsville; Kevin Kent from Charlotte; Roslyn Perkins from Danbury, Conn.; Joel Schlaudt from Chesterfield, Va.; Matthew Schulman from Huntersville; Lauren Stacks from Winston Salem; Lisa Strupe from Mooresville; and B'Jion Wright from Baltimore, Md. Additional student support will be provided by Tabitha Bass '17, stage manager; Randy Stull '19, assistant stage manager; Taylor Kroop '19, assistant stage manager; and Kassandra Tuttle '16, costume designer.
Tickets are $15 for adults, $13 for students and senior citizens, and free to Catawba students, faculty and staff.
