Associate Professor of Political Science and political expert Dr. J. Michael Bitzer was recently asked by Charlotte News 14 to comment on President Obama's visit to North Carolina and how the state's importance comes into play at the 2012 elections.
Bitzer said that the suburbs are where the kind of "real battle" plays out. In terms of the rural vote, Bitzer says Obama has a long way to go.
