First-year theatre arts students will present "War (In Peaces)," a production of seven improvisational pieces featuring unique short scenes, poems, songs, dance and other exciting surprises during Catawba College's Family WeekendSept. 19-21.

The production's artistic director is Jared Kenish of Glassboro, N.J.  Eight upper-class directors for the production include Nicole Bowles and Justin Duncan of Raeford; Katie Haeuser of Robert, La.; Laurie Klaus of Salisbury; Sara Johnson of Charlotte; Nicole Durant of Fairview; Zack Lynch of Selbyville, Del.; and Shanna Locklair of Rehoboth Beach, Del.

Cast members include Cassandra Bell of Leonardtown, Md.; Brad Boaz of Gastonia; Tyler S. Bugg of Hephzibah, Ga.; Kat Campagna of Watertown, Conn.; Christine Caldemeyer of Mills River; Canaan Cox of Hendersonville; Megan Fields of Moore, SC; Chris Fink of Hendersonville; Autumn Hamilton of Conyers, Ga.; Spencer Johnston of Chevy Chase, Md.; Sarah LeJeune of Fairview, Tenn.; Quinn McRae of Hendersonville; Zack McRae of Hendersonville; Michael Procton of High Point; Jered Shults of Sevierville, Tenn.; Jesse Siak of Hendersonville; Danielle Smith of Charlotte; Mackenzie Westbrook of Charlotte; and Rob White of Mechanicsville, Md.

"War (In Peaces)" will be performed in the Florence Busby Corriher Theatre on Catawba's campus at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 19 and at 2 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 20-21.  The box office opens an hour before the show and admission is free, however, tickets are required to reserve a space. Contact the Catawba College Box Office at (704) 637-4481 or by e-mail at catawbaboxoffice@gmail.com.
