Dr. Janice Moore Fuller, Catawba College's Writer-in-Residence, has returned from a reading and teaching tour in Europe.
She spent three weeks in May in Portugal doing a writing residency at Foundation Obras, the Centre for Art and Science. During that time, two of her poems "Laundry Day" and "Obras: Work in Progress" were selected to be displayed in English and Portugese as part of an art exhibition at Claustro do Câmara Municipal in the city of Estremoz.
In June, she read her poetry and conducted workshops at the Dylan Thomas Centre in Swansea, Wales, and at Ty Newydd, Wales's national writing center. She also conducted a writing workshop "Poetry and the Body" and delivered a lecture on James Merrill and his poetry at London's Troubadour Club.
