Intro to Coll Reading/Writing
This course provides intensive writing instruction and emphasizes the process of writing. Students compose primarily short informative, comparative, expressive and/or summative writing. Special attention is paid to organizing essays and paragraphs for clarity and coherence.

Rhetoric & Composition I
Intensive practice in informative, persuasive, and expressive writing with particular emphasis on summary writing and other academic writing, preliminary research skills, and prewriting and revising strategies. Prerequisite: English 1000 or placement.
