HOBBIES AND INTERESTS

I enjoy traveling, skiing in cold months, going to the beach and concerts in hot months, supporting local businesses (whether in Salisbury or across the country), fruitful fellowship with friends and family, and leading worship at First Reform Church in Landis, NC.

Catawba took a chance on me. The chance that I would live out our mission, our values, our traditions, and our opportunities.

Savannah is the Manager of Alumni Engagement here at Catawba. Her role is to bridge the gap between alumni and our institution. Her job consists of planning and hosting regional events, planning and executing Homecoming Weekend, working with alumni on special events, managing our Alumni Board of Directors, connecting with the senior class and introducing them to their new journey as alumni, and so much more. She serves on Staff Council as the Social Committee Chair, and serves on our Strategic Planning Steering Group. She also stays connected with our Lilly Center retreats for vocation and values.

Savannah is also a Catawba graduate.  She graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Musical Theatre in May of 2019 and started working as an Admissions Counselor for our college.

When asked why she chose Catawba, Savannah said, “Honestly, Catawba saw me. Catawba chose me. What is there not to love about Catawba? We are small, and yet large. We ‘DO’ personal, belonging, vocation, experiment, support, and so forth. I loved my time as a student, and in the moments where I didn’t, Catawba loved on me. Anyone could have been chosen for the job I was initially hired to do, the candidates were exceptionally qualified! But Catawba believed something about me was right for Catawba College.

“And because Catawba believed in me, I chose Catawba, back.”
