Campus Gardens
Growing the Good - For People and Planet
Our campus gardens not only provide a safe, accessible habitat for our native pollinators, but they also act as a showcase of the connection between people, plants, and the planet. From our hands-on Learning Garden, where students are able to explore sustainable food production through our Urban Agriculture course, to our numerous native pollinator gardens that support bees, butterflies, and other essential species, these spaces offer a welcoming environment for all. Together, these gardens serve as outdoor classrooms, living laboratories, and peaceful green havens that nurture both ecological and community well-being.

Learning Garden
This small but thriving Learning Garden demonstrates sustainable growing practices in action. Using natural pest management and raised beds, the garden produces seasonal herbs and vegetables while minimizing environmental impact. Students and staff work together to plant, tend, and harvest, gaining hands-on experience in sustainable agriculture. More than a source of fresh produce, the garden is a living classroom, showing how mindful stewardship of the land can nourish both people and the planet. Join Dr. Wear’s Urban Agriculture class every other fall semester to join in on the planting fun!
